Bitter sweet week

We just returned from Iowa where we were since Monday. Brad's Grandpa Dellit passed away last Saturday. It was sad of course, but he has been quite ill for a few years and was not doing well in recent months. Thanks for the phone calls and thoughts...we really appreciate it.

We did get to see a few family members we haven't seen in quite a while. We also visited my grandparents, my parents, and had a (very) short visit with Jordan & Becky last night. Dad Dellit is hanging in there and looking forward to our trip to NYC and my dad is doing a little better. It was nice to be able to visit him after his surgery on Monday and then at home yesterday. He's not very mobile at all yet, but says he feels a little better each day. Mom is of course getting pooped out, but is glad she can be there to take care of him. Thanks also to those who are helping her out while she runs errands and Dad really appreciated the cards he has received. He goes to the doctor on Tuesday to see how things are going....The 3 of us girls (& handsome husbands) bought him a PlayStation 2 for Father's Day to help him pass the next couple of months!

We also got to see very pregnant Jessica & Hunter. She looked really, really good and Ian is due to arrive pretty much any day. Hunter was so sweet, and ran all the way down the sidewalk to greet us. He's getting so big...I just can't believe it. We also got to see niece Kaitlyn who is also is getting bigger...She too was sweet and was saving a place at the table for us at lunch so we could sit by her...I can't believe they grow so fast.

Thanks again for the thoughts and calls and a HUGE thank you to Ryan & Pam next door who kept Sammy for us.
